About Woxsound

The musical journey from rock roots to electronic transcendence

Fernando Pereira | Woxsound

Where Melody Meets the Soul

The First Notes

Long before frequencies and synthesizers, there was a young Fernando Pereira pouring his heart into lyrics and melodies. These early creations became the foundation of The Black Birds (1993-1996), the pop-rock act where he first found his voice as both a frontman and songwriter. When the band's chapter closed, it wasn't an ending—just the prelude to something greater.

The Transformation

Years later, in 2003, a chance encounter with electronic music reignited his passion. Collaborating with DJ Diva Sandrinha, he released his debut single, "I Seek You" (2004)—a hypnotic trance anthem that didn't just open doors, but revealed an entirely new sonic universe. Trance, with its emotional depth and pulsating energy, became his true artistic home.

A Soundtrack of Evolution

Orange EP (2012) – His electronic debut, a burst of color and warmth, fusing psychedelic textures with an irresistible energy that instantly defined his style.

Portal EP (2017) – A journey into deeper, more intricate soundscapes, where ethereal melodies and powerful rhythms collide, marking his growth as a producer.

The Rebirth EP (2020) – His most personal work, born from resilience and renewal—a phoenix rising through harmonies and beats.

Unforgettable Moments

Tracks like "Somewhere Out There" (a celestial trance journey), "For Susana" (a tender piano ode to a dear friend), and "Fenix" (an anthem of rebirth) showcase his gift for turning emotion into sound.

"Woxsound isn't just an artist—it's an experience. Fernando doesn't compose tracks; he crafts emotional landscapes. From the raw, guitar-driven days of The Black Birds to the transcendent electronic realms he now explores, his music remains a bridge between memory and feeling, between the past and the infinite."
